A short film that follows the halal slaughter of livestock from arrival at the abattoir to the final cut, shot in unbroken, observational footage inside a working slaughterhouse. The camera stays close on the animals, the workers, and the blade, with minimal narration letting the process speak for itself rather than explaining it away. The film frames the killing as a ritual transformation, tracing how a living animal becomes meat through a set sequence of restraint, prayer, and cutting that halal practice requires. There is no voiceover moralizing about the practice one way or the other; it simply records the mechanics and rhythm of the work, including the men who perform it daily and the calm, almost procedural manner in which they do so. Anyone squeamish about slaughter footage should expect exactly that: blood, cutting, and animal death shown plainly. The result is closer to an anthropological record of a religious and industrial practice than an argument for or against it.
