Host Conor Woodman spends a night working the streets of Amsterdam to find out how the city's scam artists operate. Hidden cameras follow him into the red light district, where hustlers sell tourists bags of fake drugs, and along the canals where pickpocket crews work the crowds around bars and coffeeshops. He tracks down the men who tamper with ATMs to skim cards and cash, and talks his way close enough to street dealers and con artists to get them describing their own methods on camera. As in other episodes of the Scam City series, the approach is undercover and observational rather than staged, with Woodman posing as an easy mark to draw scammers into showing how a con actually unfolds, from the setup to the moment money changes hands. The result is a street-level account of how a city built on tourism and a famously permissive nightlife also runs a parallel economy built on deception, told through the people running it rather than the police trying to stop it.
