Conor Woodman spends his time in New York testing how far the city's zero-tolerance policing has actually pushed out its street scams. He gets talked into an overpriced ride by unlicensed pedi-cab touts working the edges of Central Park, tracks pickpockets who have relocated their operations since Times Square got cleaned up, and ends up inside a counterfeit perfume racket that turns out to be bigger and more dangerous than a simple street hustle. Woodman works the way the series always does, posing as an easy mark and letting hidden cameras and undercover contacts do the real work, then sitting down with the con artists themselves once the sting is over to hear how the trick is built. The perfume operation is the episode's spine, pulling back from a sidewalk table to a supply chain with real money and real risk behind it. It plays less like a warning to tourists and more like a short tour of the informal economy running underneath a major city's official one.
