A BBC investigation into violence and land seizures carried out by extremist Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank. Reporters examine attacks on Palestinian farmers and villagers, the expansion of outposts built without Israeli government authorization, and the reluctance of police and military units to intervene even when settlers are filmed assaulting residents or torching property. Interviews with Palestinian families describe olive groves destroyed and homes threatened, while Israeli officials, soldiers, and settler representatives offer their own accounts of the legal and political gray zones that let these outposts persist for years before any demolition order is enforced. The film traces how informal settlements grow into permanent fixtures on the map, backed by sympathetic officials and a legal system slow to act against them. It also follows the rare cases where authorities do move to evacuate an outpost, and the resistance that follows. The result is a journalistic account of how enforcement gaps in the occupied territories let a small, ideologically driven minority operate largely outside legal consequence.
