Shinya Kimura builds custom motorcycles by hand at Chabott Engineering, hammering and shaping metal panels himself rather than relying on molds or mass-produced parts. Directed by Henrik Hansen, the short follows Kimura in his workshop as he talks about his approach to building bikes, favoring aged, weathered finishes and mechanical forms shaped through patient, repetitive work rather than flash or speed. The camera lingers on his hands and tools as he explains why he treats each motorcycle as a one-off object rather than a product, and why imperfection in the metal matters more to him than polish. It is a quiet, close-up portrait of a craftsman rather than a survey of custom bike culture, built almost entirely around Kimura's own voice and the sound of his workshop. The film gives no history lesson or industry context, just a look at one man's method and the machines it produces.
