Filmmakers embed with an actual neo-Nazi skinhead crew in Detroit, recording their rallies, home lives, and recruitment pitches without narration standing between the camera and the subjects. Shaved heads, boots, tattoos, and Confederate and swastika flags fill the frame as members talk openly about their beliefs, their violence, and why they joined. The film lets its subjects explain themselves in their own words, from teenage recruits parroting slogans to older organizers coaching them, while showing the domestic ordinary alongside the ideological, kids playing in living rooms decorated with hate propaganda. There is no interviewer pushing back on camera; the method is observational, closer to cinema verite than debate, trusting that unfiltered access does the exposing. It is a document of a specific American subculture at a specific moment, not an argument for it, and its value now is as a time capsule of how these groups recruited, organized, and talked about themselves before the internet changed all three.
