Oman's Dhofar region in the south, the Hajar mountains in the north, and the Djebel Al Akhdar highlands anchor this portrait of a country the Romans once called Arabia Felix, Blessed Arabia. Mossin tends the frankincense trees that made the region wealthy two thousand years ago, when the resin trade spread Omani influence across the ancient world. In the Hajar range, Said times his days to the seasons of his date palms, living among the trees he depends on for everything. In the mountain village of Balat Sayt, Ahmed works as an arif, a water master who inherits and passes down the knowledge of how to distribute irrigation water fairly among farmers. The film moves between these three men and their landscapes, using their daily routines to show how Bedouin tradition, desert geography, and centuries-old trades still shape rural life in Oman. Location photography carries most of the storytelling, with narration filling in the history behind each craft.
