Filmmaker Yance Ford, William's younger sibling, returns to that case more than two decades later, sitting for extended interviews with his mother, surviving family, and his own reflection filmed in tight, unflinching close-up. Home movies and family photographs reconstruct William as a person rather than a case file, a teacher-in-training with a temper and a future, while police reports and grand jury records are read against what the family remembers of how investigators treated them.
