African migrants in Europe describe two very different outcomes in this episode. Steven left Ghana for the Netherlands 26 years ago without papers and now runs a successful travel agency, telling the camera he never buys a used car. His countryman Michael has had no such luck: undocumented and working seasonal jobs in Spain, he ends up homeless in the northwest of the country after the financial crisis dries up work. The film cites the scale behind these stories, roughly 4.5 million Africans working or studying in Europe with papers, against seven or eight million trying to get by without them. Guiswende, from Burkina Faso, studies mathematics in Belgium and says failure is not an option, while other African students describe what they sacrifice for a European education. In Lisbon, young Angolan immigrants have brought Kuduro music with them, and artist Puto Cossa performs his track "Vida" to an enthusiastic crowd. Ugandan reporter Ssuuna spends the episode working as a babysitter and cleaner, unable to hold either job for long.
