The film follows archaeologists and scientists re-examining that find with modern techniques: strontium isotope analysis of her teeth and nails, which suggests she traveled long distances before her death, and reconstructions of Bronze Age textile production and trade networks stretching across Europe. Researchers walk through the barrow landscape around Vejle, handle replicas of her costume, and lay out competing theories about who she was and why she ended up buried so far, possibly, from where she was born.
