Ron goes by "the Beach Captain," and this short profile follows him along the banks of his capital city's main river, where he and a loose group of collaborators build sculptures and arrangements out of driftwood, stone, and whatever else the water leaves behind. The camera stays close to the work itself: hands stacking rocks, structures rising and eventually washing away, the river as both material supply and deadline. Ron talks through why he keeps returning to the same stretch of shoreline and what the ritual of building something temporary means to him, without much outside narration to frame it. It plays as a small, observational portrait of one man's private practice rather than an argument about art, letting the riverside scenes and Ron's own words carry the film.
