Thousands of Indian bicycle couriers now pedal food deliveries across German cities for Wolt, Lieferando, and Uber Eats, lured by promises of study places at private universities and left deep in debt once they arrive. Shiwani S., in late pregnancy, tells the film she has waited a year and a half for months of unpaid wages, while fellow rider Samee U. asks why German workers never take these same jobs. The filmmakers spent months embedded with this community, following couriers through exploitative landlords, bogus employment contracts, and pay far below minimum wage. Berlin labor lawyer Martin Bechert, who represents many of the riders, calls delivery platforms "labor law laboratories" where new forms of exploitation get tested. The film also travels to the source of the pipeline, interviewing Germany's ambassador in New Delhi, Dr. Philipp Ackermann, who warns Indian students against dubious educational agencies that end in illegal work and precarious housing. Court hearings, courier interviews, and the ambassador's account combine into a portrait of migration turned into cheap, disposable labor.
