This film follows the human cost of that boom. A mother describes losing her daughter after a procedure went wrong, retracing the last days before her death. Morgan Ribeiro and Sara Platt, two patients who traveled to Turkey for surgery, recount how their treatments left them with lasting medical harm rather than the results they were promised. Interviews with clinic staff and marketing agents expose how aggressive social media advertising and package deals lure foreign patients, often obscuring who is actually performing the operation and what happens if it fails. The film also looks at what little recourse victims and grieving families have once they return home, and asks what regulation, if any, is catching up with an industry expanding faster than oversight can follow.
