Charlotte Gerson, daughter of the therapy's inventor Max Gerson, walks through the diet and detoxification protocol her father developed in the 1920s to treat chronic disease, built around raw juices, coffee enemas, and a strict low-salt regimen. The film follows several patients who say they used the therapy against advanced cancer after conventional treatment had failed them, filming their daily routines and letting them describe their diagnoses and recoveries in their own words. Doctors and researchers sympathetic to the therapy appear alongside archival material on Max Gerson's original clinical claims from decades earlier, including his work treating tuberculosis patients before turning to cancer. The film lays out the theory behind the treatment, that disease results from cellular damage and toxin buildup the body can reverse if given the right nutrients, and argues that mainstream medicine has ignored or suppressed the approach. It is an advocacy piece for a treatment that remains outside standard oncology, presented entirely through the testimony of its practitioners and patients.
