Yates, who walked away from Pentecostal faith himself, arrives determined to expose Mboro as a showman exploiting believers, and the film follows him into exorcisms, claims of witchcraft, and a security detail that includes AK-47s. Interviews with congregants who credit Mboro with curing illness and fixing marriages sit alongside footage of his breakdancing sermons and the mansion his wealth has bought. As Yates keeps digging, the film shifts from straightforward takedown into something more uneasy, tracking his own doubts about faith, showmanship, and what desperate people actually get out of believing in a prophet.
