Time is something no one can touch or see, yet every human senses it passing, usually in units no smaller than a heartbeat. This film pushes past that narrow human scale, using high-speed cameras and specialized filming equipment to show what happens outside it: events too slow for a lifetime to register, like the drift of continents or the aging of an ecosystem over years, and events too fast to perceive at all, like elementary particles that flash into existence and vanish in less than a billionth of a second. The camera becomes the instrument that closes the gap, stretching the instantaneous into something visible and compressing the glacial into something watchable. Rather than narrating the physics of time itself, the film builds its case through footage calibrated to timescales the naked eye simply cannot reach, treating the equipment as the real subject: what a lens and a shutter can do that human perception cannot.
