The Seychelles look like every other tropical postcard: white coral sand, turquoise water, palm-lined beaches. But the rock underneath them is granite, not the volcanic basalt that builds most oceanic islands, and granite normally only forms where continents exist. The film uses that geological oddity as its starting point, tracing how these islands are actually splinters of an ancient continent left behind when Gondwana broke apart and India, Africa, and Madagascar drifted away from each other millions of years ago. Because the islands never fully submerged the way volcanic chains do, they carry species found nowhere else, including frogs that have been isolated on their granite peaks for tens of millions of years. Footage moves between the beaches tourists see and the interior forests and rock formations where the deeper story shows up, with the biology treated as evidence of the islands' continental origin rather than as scenery.
