A retired DC-10 airliner, converted into a fully equipped eye hospital, flies to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, to deliver ophthalmic surgery to patients who otherwise have little access to treatment. The episode follows the Orbis crew through the practical mechanics of the mission: flight preparations, airspace coordination, and the conversion of the aircraft's cabin into a sterile operating environment capable of functioning at 30,000 feet. Weather delays, ground logistics, and technical problems repeatedly threaten the schedule, and the film tracks how the team adapts under those constraints while patients wait for procedures that will restore their sight. Interviews with medical staff and aviation crew explain how the two disciplines have to mesh precisely for the mission to work at all, and aerial footage shows the plane itself as both aircraft and clinic. The film stays close to the operational detail of running a hospital that has to fly, land, and still meet surgical standards, rather than treating the concept as a novelty.
