On a warm November night in Manhattan, filmmakers stumble on what looks like a vintage shop: a brightly lit display window packed with curiosities. A man sitting out front waves them in, warning that nothing inside is for sale. What follows is a short portrait of that space and the man who calls it home, built from his own collection rather than a storefront's inventory. The camera lingers on the objects crowding the window and the shelves behind it, letting the room's clutter and care speak for the person who assembled it. Interview and observational footage sit close together, with the man narrating why he keeps what he keeps and what the space means to him. It is a small, specific character study rather than a survey of any larger issue, interested in one person's relationship to the things around him and the line between a shop and a home when the objects on display were never meant to be sold.
