At sixty-four, a man has walked across the United States seven times, and this short profile follows him on the road talking about why. His mission is depression and suicide awareness, and the film shows him meeting strangers along the highway, campgrounds, and small towns, telling them, in his words, to "love life." There's no narrator standing between him and the camera; he explains his own history with depression and how the long solo walks became a kind of therapy, then turned into an evangelism. The footage is simple and observational, mostly him mid-stride with a pack, roadside interviews, and quiet moments of him alone with the landscape. It plays less like an investigation and more like a portrait of one man's coping mechanism turned into a public campaign, seven cross-country trips deep and still walking.
