Kyiv's underground club scene keeps running through the Russian invasion, and this film follows the people who refuse to let it stop. The center of it is Closer, a venue that helped put the city on Europe's electronic music map before the war and now doubles as a shelter, a fundraiser hub, and a rare place where young Ukrainians can feel something other than dread. Dancers, DJs, and club regulars talk about why they keep showing up even as air raid sirens interrupt sets and friends leave to fight at the front. The cameras catch the contrast directly: strobe lights and bass one night, sandbags and curfews the next. Some interviewees have lost people; others are counting down until their own call-up. The film treats the nightlife not as escapism but as a form of endurance, a way of insisting that ordinary life, and joy, still has a claim on the city while the war grinds on around it.
