Two half-hour reports from Unreported World's India coverage. In the first, Nelufar Hedayat travels to Delhi and goes undercover with a female-run private detective agency that specializes in catching cheating spouses, following investigators as they trail suspects and film evidence for suspicious wives and husbands, part of a booming industry built on marital distrust. The second report sends Sahar Zand into Bollywood to track how the MeToo movement has reached India's film industry, meeting actresses who have gone public with accounts of assault and harassment and asking why an industry built on glamour has been so slow to reckon with them. Both films rely on the reporters' own undercover access and on-camera interviews rather than reenactment, moving between detective agency stakeouts and conversations with actresses and industry figures. Together they sketch a picture of gender, suspicion and power in contemporary India, one through the lens of failing marriages, the other through the film industry's reckoning with its own men.
