Her mother Maira, a devout Catholic, and her father Carlos, a civil servant, support her anger but fear for her safety, aware that roughly ten women are killed each day in Mexico simply for being women. In Nigeria, Somkele campaigns for democracy and government accountability, a form of activism her family also watches with unease given the risks facing outspoken critics of power. The film follows both women through rallies, family conversations, and quiet moments at home, letting parents explain their worry directly to camera alongside their daughters' conviction that silence is worse than danger. Interviews and observational footage move between Mexico City and Nigeria, building a portrait of activism as a family issue as much as a political one.
