Vietnamese cities have a citizen response to motor vehicle theft: groups calling themselves "Street Knights" who mobilize on motorcycles whenever a resident reports a stolen bike or car, chasing down thieves through traffic and back alleys to recover property before police even arrive. The film rides along with these ordinary volunteers, showing how word spreads through phone calls and social media and how the pursuits actually unfold on crowded streets. A second segment shifts to Hong Kong, where a spike in hiking accidents between 2020 and 2023 pushed interior designer Ricky and a group of fellow enthusiasts to form their own volunteer rescue outfit, descending steep, unmarked slopes at night to search for stranded or injured hikers when official rescue teams are stretched thin. Both halves follow the same idea from different angles: citizens stepping into gaps left by overstretched authorities, armed with local knowledge, radios, and improvised gear rather than official training. Interviews with the volunteers sit alongside footage from actual chases and searches.
