WikiLeaks becomes a global flashpoint in 2010, and this Swedish Television production follows reporters Jesper Huor and Bosse Lindquist as they trace the organization from that summer onward, traveling to the countries where it operates and sitting down with the people running it. Julian Assange appears on camera as editor-in-chief, alongside spokesperson Kristinn Hrafnsson and Daniel Domscheit-Berg, who leaves to start his own leak platform, OpenLeaks. The film catches the organization mid-transformation, with the US government moving against it and internal disputes already splitting its founders apart. Interviews and on-the-ground footage build a picture of how WikiLeaks actually functions day to day: how leaks are vetted, who decides what gets published, and what happens to the people who leak.
