World's Fastest Marksman, Child Cage Fighters & High Façade Climber
Three short profiles of people pushing physical limits, from the Mavericks Unlimited series. The first follows a free solo climber scaling a 70-meter glass office façade with no ropes, harness, or safety net, filmed from below and alongside him as he finds finger holds in the window frames. The second segment travels into the American youth cage-fighting scene, where children compete in sanctioned mixed martial arts bouts, with interviews from parents, coaches, and the young fighters themselves defending a sport that is legal but controversial. The final segment tests a competitive shooter capable of firing twelve rounds in under three seconds, using super-slow-motion cameras to show a sequence of hand and trigger movement too fast for the naked eye to follow. Each segment stays close to its subject, mixing on-location footage with short interviews rather than narration-heavy explanation, moving quickly between the three stories without dwelling long on any one.
