An Airbus A380 pushes back from London bound for Sydney, one of the longest scheduled routes in commercial aviation, and this film rides along with the crew and passengers who have to survive it. Cameras follow pilots managing fuel loads and fatigue across roughly twenty hours in the air, cabin crew running a sealed hotel at 40,000 feet, and engineers explaining what keeps a plane that size aloft for a full day. Passengers talk through the boredom, the cramped economy rows, and the strange psychology of a flight long enough to include multiple sleep cycles. Behind-the-scenes access extends to the ground side too: catering, baggage handling, and the maintenance checks that happen before the aircraft is cleared to fly. The film treats the A380 itself as a character, walking through its scale and the engineering trade-offs that make ultra-long-haul routes possible at all. It is less about the destination than about what a full day of flying does to the people who work and wait through it.
