Four road journeys, each built around a different kind of danger. In Georgia, drivers climb the Abano Pass in the Great Caucasus, at almost 3000 metres the highest passable road in the range, cutting through steep, unpaved mountain terrain near the Russian border. In Bangladesh, Muslim pilgrims make the six-hour trip to Dhaka packed onto overcrowded trains, some riding the roofs and ducking low bridges, a habit that has killed people who slipped or misjudged the clearance. In Indonesia, the film follows the Trans Sulawesi Highway as it winds through the island's fourth-largest landmass, past beaches, cities, and rainforest, with traffic the narration calls loud, crowded, and confusing. The Burundi segment trails Tharcien, a bicycle courier hauling bananas from market to a banana-beer brewery, illustrating how bikes remain the country's main freight transport despite the physical toll on the riders. Location filming, on-the-ground interviews, and narration carry each segment, with the human stakes, injury, death, economic necessity, kept as central as the scenery.
