A Global History of Architecture Writing Seminar
MIT OpenCourseWare offers this graduate writing seminar on global architecture, taught as a workshop rather than a lecture course. Students read and compare architecture textbooks to see how each one draws the boundaries of "the global," then spend the semester debating where those boundaries should sit. The capstone assignment asks each student to design an hour-long lecture suitable for an undergraduate survey course, identifying its central themes and compiling a bibliography and reading list to support it.
