Advanced Topics in Real Estate Finance
A half-semester MIT seminar surveying current issues in real estate finance and investment. Run in an informal seminar format, the course expects students to take initiative in leading discussion, with lectures supplemented by guest speakers drawn from the real estate investment industry who present on current market trends and developments. Offered jointly through MIT's Department of Urban Studies and Planning and the Sloan School of Management, the course builds on foundational real estate finance coursework and pushes into more specialized, practitioner-facing territory. Materials available through MIT OpenCourseWare typically include syllabus, readings, and assignment materials; the course is free to audit under MIT's open license, with no certificate offered.
