Brains, Minds and Machines Summer Course
This MIT OpenCourseWare offering draws on the annual Brains, Minds and Machines Summer Course held at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, taught by faculty from MIT's Center for Brains, Minds and Machines. It tackles the problem of intelligence from three angles at once: cognitive science's account of the mind, neuroscience's account of the brain, and computer science's account of the computations needed to build intelligent machines. Materials are integrated with MIT's graduate course 9.523, Aspects of a Computational Theory of Intelligence, and include lecture recordings and readings covering topics like neural computation, learning theory, and models of perception and cognition. The course is aimed at an advanced audience already comfortable with cognitive science, neuroscience, or computational modeling, and it is free to access through MIT OpenCourseWare with no certificate offered.
