Computing and Data Analysis for Environmental Applications
MIT OpenCourseWare offers this computer-oriented introduction to probability and data analysis, built for students who need to interpret lab and field data in science and engineering. The course opens with basic probability concepts as a systematic way to describe uncertainty, then applies them to real quantitative data. MATLAB is the main tool throughout, used to run virtual experiments and analyze real-world data sets, many pulled directly from the web.
