Fundamentals of Biology
MIT's self-paced introduction to biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, and recombinant DNA, built as four independent units you can take in any order or combination. Each unit pairs lecture videos from MIT faculty (including Eric Lander and Robert Weinberg among the content developers) with interactive concept quizzes, problem sets with posted solutions, and a problem-solving video session run by a teaching assistant. The four units end in exams with solution keys: biochemistry closes on chemiosmosis and photosynthesis, molecular biology on gene regulation and the lac operon, genetics on biochemical genetics, and recombinant DNA on gel electrophoresis, sequencing, and PCR. It is designed for independent study rather than a live cohort, so you can start with whichever unit connects to what you already need.
