Global Climate Change: Economics, Science, and Policy
Climate change examined as a combined scientific, economic, and policy problem, developed by MIT's Sloan School of Management, Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences, and the Engineering Systems Division. The course covers the physical processes driving global climate change, the ecological and economic stakes of different warming scenarios, and the international institutions negotiating a response. Drawing on research from the MIT Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change, it builds an integrated framework for evaluating proposed policy measures, from carbon pricing to international agreements.
