Introduction to Radar Systems
Ten lectures totaling more than eleven hours, excerpted from a three-day course MIT Lincoln Laboratory built for military officers and DoD civilians entering radar systems development and acquisition work. The lectures cover core radar concepts including antennas, waveform design, signal processing, target detection, and tracking, along with the tradeoffs engineers face when specifying a radar system for a given mission. The original three-day program mixed lectures with demonstrations, laboratory sessions, and facility tours, and this version preserves the lecture content as recorded video through MIT OpenCourseWare. There are no graded assignments or certificate, just the full lecture series with accompanying slides, making it best suited to someone who already has an engineering or physics background and wants a working grasp of how radar systems are designed and evaluated.
