MIT Sloan School of Management's introduction to how managers use accounting information for decision making, performance evaluation, and control. The course covers cost systems, budgeting, transfer pricing, and performance measurement, aimed at students headed toward management consulting, manufacturing leadership roles, or general senior management. Materials on MIT OpenCourseWare include lecture notes, assignments, and readings that walk through how accounting data gets built and then used inside a company to steer decisions rather than just report results. As with other MIT OCW offerings, there is no instructor interaction or certificate, but the full set of course materials is available to study at your own pace, free of charge, under MIT's open license.
