Research Seminar in IT and Organizations: Economic Perspectives
MIT Sloan School of Management offers this research seminar examining how information technology reshapes the structure of firms and markets. Drawing on economic theory, the course studies why organizations choose particular ways of coordinating work, how information costs and technology shifts create new organizational forms, and what drives the boundaries between firms and markets.
