Algebraic Topology II
This MIT OpenCourseWare course continues a two-part sequence on algebraic topology, picking up with basic homotopy theory and moving through obstruction theory, classifying spaces, spectral sequences, characteristic classes, and Steenrod operations. Materials include lecture notes and problem sets covering the construction and use of spectral sequences for computing homotopy and cohomology groups, along with the machinery of fiber bundles and their classifying spaces. The course assumes familiarity with the first course's material, including singular homology and cohomology, fundamental groups, and covering spaces.
