This MIT OpenCourseWare series covers complex variables, ordinary differential equations, and linear algebra, the third installment in Herb Gross's Calculus Revisited sequence following Single Variable Calculus and Multivariable Calculus. The course consists of 20 videotaped lectures, three study guides, and a set of supplementary notes, originally recorded in 1972 but still used as a self-study refresher for students who need these topics explained slowly and thoroughly. Gross, a longtime MIT senior lecturer and founding math chair at Bunker Hill Community College, works through complex numbers and functions, first- and second-order differential equations, and matrix methods with the same worked-example style across all three courses. Materials are free to access through MIT OpenCourseWare under a Creative Commons license, with no certificate offered. Prior completion of the first two courses in the series is assumed.
