Herb Gross, senior lecturer at MIT and founding math chair at Bunker Hill Community College, walks through multivariable calculus in 26 videos originally recorded in 1971 and still distributed by MIT OpenCourseWare. The series covers vectors, partial derivatives, multiple integrals, and vector calculus, the material typically found in a sophomore-level course, with four accompanying study guides and a set of supplementary notes for working through problems alongside the lectures. Gross designed the series so it works both as a first introduction and as a refresher for anyone who studied calculus before and wants to shore up the fundamentals. There are no assignments to submit and no certificate, just the recorded lectures and printed materials, freely downloadable from MIT's site. It is a plain, thorough walk through the subject from an instructor who spent his career teaching exactly this material.
