Cross-Cultural Leadership
This MIT Sloan School of Management seminar examines what makes leadership effective across different cultures, preparing students for business roles outside their home countries. Weekly readings target specific dimensions of cultural differentiation, and students contribute original content each week by researching or drawing on personal experience to describe leadership practices in particular cultures. The course is run as a collaborative research seminar rather than a lecture course, with class participation and weekly contributions forming part of the coursework. It concludes with a paper exploring some aspect of cross-cultural leadership in depth.
