Dynamics and Control II
MIT OpenCourseWare's continuation of its mechanical engineering dynamics and control sequence covers lumped parameter modeling of electrical and mechanical systems as ordinary differential equations, estimating model parameters from experimental data, and finding time-domain responses to initial conditions and standard forcing functions such as impulse, step, and ramp inputs. Students also work in the frequency domain, analyzing sinusoidal response, and study feedback techniques for shaping transient behavior. The course culminates in designing, building, and testing an active control system against a performance target.
