Finite Element Analysis of Solids and Fluids I
MIT OpenCourseWare offers this graduate-level mechanical engineering course on finite element methods for analyzing solid, structural, fluid, field, and heat transfer problems under steady-state, transient, and dynamic conditions. Lectures build up linear and nonlinear finite element formulations using largely physical arguments rather than pure abstraction. Homework assignments and, for graduate students, a term project require hands-on use of ADINA, a general purpose finite element analysis program, to model problems and interpret numerical results.
