MIT OpenCourseWare's 6.776 covers circuit-level design for high speed communication systems, focused on wireless and broadband data link applications. Topics include transmission lines, high speed and low noise amplifiers, voltage-controlled oscillators, mixers, power amplifiers, high speed digital circuits, and frequency synthesizers. Students develop analysis skills for each circuit type and gain hands-on experience simulating RF circuits in SPICE, plus a lab project building actual RF circuits. Materials include lecture notes, problem sets, and lab assignments from MIT's Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department. The course targets advanced students who already have a background in circuit design and want to move into RF and high speed digital domains. As with other MIT OCW offerings, all course materials are free to access under a Creative Commons license, with no certificate offered.
