Gilbert Strang and Cleve Moler walk through differential equations using MATLAB's ODE suite, in a video series produced by MathWorks and hosted on MIT OpenCourseWare. Strang, the MathWorks Professor of Mathematics at MIT, and Moler, cofounder and chief mathematician of MathWorks, cover core topics including first-order equations, systems of equations, numerical methods, and stability, building intuition alongside the computational tools used to solve them in practice. The lessons move from basic setup of an ODE to the practical business of choosing a solver and interpreting its output, with MATLAB demonstrations run live alongside the theory. The series suits students who have had introductory calculus and want to connect the analytic side of differential equations to numerical computation. Materials are free to access through MIT OpenCourseWare, with no certificate offered.
