Machine Vision
MIT OpenCourseWare offers this graduate-level introduction to generating symbolic descriptions of a scene from an image. Lectures cover the physics of image formation, motion vision, and recovering shape from shading, along with binary image processing and filtering as preprocessing steps. Further topics include photogrammetry, object representation and alignment, analog VLSI vision systems, and computational vision techniques, with applications to robotics and intelligent machine interaction. The course includes lecture notes and assignments from MIT's Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department, making it suitable for students who already have a background in linear algebra, calculus, and basic programming.
