Managing Global Integration
This MIT Sloan School graduate seminar examines how multinational organizations become unified across their global units, linking the process to entrepreneurship and general management. Topics include global markets and institutions, global strategy, organizational design, and leadership challenges specific to companies operating across borders. Originally taught to MIT Sloan Fellows with significant management experience, the course materials published through MIT OpenCourseWare include the syllabus, session-by-session readings, and case discussion topics that participants used to analyze their own past experience with multinational firms. The course is free to access through OpenCourseWare, with no certificate offered. It suits learners with some management background who want a framework for thinking about coordination and control across dispersed international operations rather than an introductory business course.
