Microelectronic Devices and Circuits
MIT's 6.012 is the foundational course for the Devices, Circuits, and Systems concentration in electrical engineering. It covers modeling of microelectronic devices, physical electronics of semiconductor junctions and MOS transistors, and how internal physical processes translate into circuit behavior. Students build circuit models and learn where those models break down, then apply incremental and large-signal analysis to bipolar and field effect transistor circuits. Worked examples span digital logic, single-ended and differential linear amplifiers, and other integrated circuit configurations. Materials come from MIT OpenCourseWare and include lecture notes, problem sets, and exams as originally used in the 12-unit MIT course, free to access under a Creative Commons license with no certificate offered.
