MIT OpenCourseWare's full treatment of differential, integral and vector calculus for functions of more than one variable, covering partial derivatives, multiple integrals, vector fields, and theorems of Green, Stokes and Gauss. The course includes lecture videos recorded on the MIT campus, recitation videos with problem-solving tips, worked examples, practice problems with solutions, and exams with solutions. Interactive Java applets called Mathlets reinforce key concepts like gradient fields and Lagrange multipliers. Content was developed by MIT faculty including Denis Auroux, Arthur Mattuck and Jeremy Orloff, and the materials are organized for independent study without needing an instructor. Free to access through MIT OpenCourseWare, with no certificate offered. Useful preparation for physics, engineering, economics or computer graphics work that depends on multivariable methods.
