MIT Sloan's 15.668 examines how organizations and management have evolved historically and what challenges managers face today when leading scientists, engineers, and other professionals. The course uses interactive exercises, simulations, and case-based problems to build skills in negotiation, teamwork, and leadership. Students learn frameworks for analyzing work dynamics and organizational behavior, with optional undergraduate fieldwork projects applying these concepts to real workplace settings. Materials on MIT OpenCourseWare include the syllabus, assignments, and readings covering topics such as power and influence, group decision-making, and organizational design. No enrollment or certificate is offered since this is a self-paced OpenCourseWare publication of MIT's actual course materials, free to access under a Creative Commons license.
